Welcome to Bass Lake
Bass Lake features mountain scenery, water sports, and recreational activities, as well as a village with restaurants and gift shops. The many stores and services of Oakhurst are only 15 minutes away. Bass Lake provides easy access to both Yosemite National Park and Sierra National Forest, as well as country roads which invite exploration. Bass Lake is at an elevation of 3,400 feet, with large stands of pines and cedars surrounding the 1800-acre lake.

The Sierra Vista Scenic Byway makes a beautiful day-long drive from Bass Lake to North Fork and up into the high country, reaching more than 7000 feet in elevation, and including spectacular scenery, Mile High Vista, the amazing Globe Rock, and other landmarks. Plan a picnic lunch, have a full tank of gas, and enjoy a day driving through forests and along meadows. There are many opportunities along the way to stop, take pictures, and hike as much as you like.
